Anti-Wrinkle Treatments
Anti-wrinkle injections (botulinum toxin) are highly effective at reducing the appearance of dynamic wrinkles. These wrinkles are caused by repeated facial movements. Over time, dynamic wrinkles can become more noticeable, even when the face is relaxed.
By temporarily relaxing the muscles responsible for these lines, anti-wrinkle injections create a smoother, more youthful appearance. Additionally, they work as a preventative treatment, helping to delay the formation of deeper wrinkles over time.
Treatment areas:

Deeper lines which have been there for a long time may not be removed completely. Anti-wrinkle Injections may be used to relax the muscles and soften the line and then dermal filler may also be used to replace lost volume in certain cases.

The most common side-effect is bruising so medications that increase the risk of this, such as anti-inflammatory tablets (e.g. ibuprofen or aspirin), or Vitamin E should be avoided for 48 hours prior to treatment. If you are taking these medications on the advice of a medical professional please seek their advice prior to witholding. Other reported side-effects are itching, tingling or headache, all of which are temporary.
